Well I haven't been making one a day and the one I'm currently working on is quite intricate so I'm so still not finished, but better some than none hey? I'm actually not really happy with any of my patterns, I feel like I only had a chance to work on them (for what seemed like) 5 minutes. They could all definitely be worked a bit more but here they are:
Turning photos to colour
So this is a work in progress but I'm quite happy with the results so far so decided to share it. Do you remember this tutorial to colourise historical Black & White photos? Well I had a go at a photo of my sister and I when we were little. I haven't done the clothes or the background, and I'd like to work on the hair a little bit more (blond hair is tricky!) but I like where it is going. I have some family history photos that I would like to try next but one step at a time! Here is the before and after.

Sign Painters
I love hand-painted signs, they are often so beautiful and meticulous but I see them less and less. Which is why, I am so excited about this new documentary Sign Painters coming out. It looks like a great narrative and the sign painters seem like fun characters. Hope they'll be a Brisbane screening (like The Startup Kids).

Screen Printing Workshop
I participated in a 1-day screen printing workshop with Angela from Milli&Fink on the weekend. I had such a great day, I learned a lot and got to take away a few pieces that I'd printed. I was amazed at what we accomplished in 1 day! Angela was a great instructor, I highly recommend these workshops, no wonder they sold out fast!
I'll post a few more photos later in the week of my finished pieces, but for now, here are a few quick shots I took on the day.
