Colour Swatch

I'm halfway through an Illustrating course from Nicole's Classes, and was inspired by the colour swatch palette that our tutor, Alma Loveland uses.  I generally create a new palette for each design, often using Pantone colour swatches as a base, which can be time consuming now I'm doing a lot more illustrating and pattern work.  So, I created a similar colour swatch of about 200 colours which has already made my life easier for you to download :)

Nan Lawson & Our Custom Portrait

I posted about Nan Lawson a few years ago when she did this custom portrait of us, but I've just noticed her new website and it looks really swish!  You can also order custom portraits from her new site directly.  I love this kitty illustration in particular!

Pattern Wednesday #8

Happy Boxing Day!

Harriet Gray has long been one of my favourite illustrators (you can find her herehere and here). Her pattern work is quite mesmerising and I really love the hand-drawn aesthetic. She also includes kittens and pugs in her patterns, how could you go wrong?

Drawing Assignment 2011

Valentines Day Card Assignment

This was a really fun and quick assignment to do - we had to complete it in 3 hours.  Also got to use one of my new favourite fonts - Skitch!
